Sports Team release new single ‘Condensation’ in the build up to their 3rd album ‘Boys these Days’.
The new single from Sports Team follows the enticing comeback release “I’m in love (Subaru)” as the second single from the new album.
Sticking with their signature style of super energetic indie rock which has the listener yearning for the live show, ‘Condensation’ sends a clear message that Sports Team are back in action.
Vocalist Alex Rice sounds totally at home on this track, delivering sharp vocals over catchy guitar riffs and a punchy, driving drum sound.
On the back of his 2024 Mercury Prize nominated album ‘Crazymad, for me’ by CMAT, it is clear that Matthias Tellez is a genius at producing radio perfect indie tunes. ‘Condensation’ is a perfect example of his impactful sound that will get anyone coming back for more.
Speaking on the lyrics Rob Knaggs (rhythm guitar and vocalist) said: “It’s a song about sweat, we had two years away from playing live and wanted to capture the physicality of being in a packed room with people you love. At a gig or anywhere else.” Accompanying the single is an eye-catching music video written and directed by Rob Knaggs and Ben Mack of Sports Team. Knaggs described the concept matter of factly: “It’s a video about sweat.”
As well as the fiercely anticipated new album set for release on the 28th of February, sports team are building towards their 10 date, UK tour in November– with a big finish show at London O2 forum on the 25th.
