Complete Control headlined a very special St George’s Day gig at The Arden Inn on the 20th of April. Complete Control is a talented group of musicians from Burnley specializing in Classic Punk and Oi covers. They’ve been entertaining audiences since 2009 with their diverse range of music that includes popular punk bands like the Sex Pistols, Clash, and Stiff Little Fingers alongside Oi bands such as Cock Sparrer, Cockney Rejects, and more.
Mark Jackson’s Arden Inn in Accrington was filled to capacity for the St. George’s Day celebrations, thanks to Complete Control’s electrifying performance. Fans from various locations, including Manchester and Rochdale, made the journey to see Shez on vocals, Manni on bass, Stephen on guitar, and Vinny on drums. The band kicked off their show with a blistering rendition of God Save the Queen by Sex Pistols, setting the tone for a night of unforgettable punk rock and continued with punk classics such as String ‘Em Up by The Last Resort, Complete Control by The Clash, and If The Kids Are United by Sham 69; delivering a non-stop barrage of punk rock energy. The atmosphere was electric, with the audience singing and dancing along to every song.
The band’s enthusiasm was infectious, and it quickly rubbed off on the crowd, who were dancing and jumping along with the music throughout the entire night. Watching them perform, it was clear that the band members had put in countless hours of practice, honing their skills and perfecting their craft to deliver an outstanding performance.
One thing that really stood out to me was the band’s musicianship. Each member played with precision and skill, and the tightness of the band was impressive. The vocals were also top-notch, with Shez delivering powerful and emotive vocals that perfectly captured the spirit of punk rock.
