LEIGH-ANNE: “STEALIN’ LOVE” SONG REVIEW

Leigh-Anne Pinnock unveiled her latest single, Stealin’ Love, on 28th March, marking the third release since she embarked on her solo journey last year. While the release date for her new album has not been announced, fans are eagerly anticipating its drop later this year.

Following the release of Don’t Say Love and My Love, featuring Ayra Starr, Leigh-Anne worked with Jermaine Jackson, Philip Plested, and RØMANS to write the track and Ian Kirkpatrick who produced it. Leigh-Anne speaking about the track: “Stealin’ Love speaks to those times when you feel like you are pouring so much love into someone and not getting what you need back. I think it’s incredibly powerful to be open and honest about these moments.

The former Little Mix star, recently revealed that Stealin’ Love is the first of a collection of songs she created while working on her debut album. She expressed her excitement about sharing more new music in the coming weeks, indicating that “Sh*t is about to get very real.”

Stealin’ Love is unforgettable! The melody is stunning and captivating, and her vocals are incredibly smooth and dreamy. The song gives off a mature vibe, similar to Your Love, (By Little Mix) which is exactly the direction I hoped Leigh would take as a solo artist. It suits her so well. I admire how Leigh Anne has created a trilogy of songs, each representing a different kind of love.

The way she effortlessly blends R&B and pop influences in this track is truly commendable. The production is top-notch, with layers of rich instrumentation that create a lush and immersive listening experience. The lyrics are poignant and heartfelt, adding depth and emotional resonance to the song. It’s evident that Leigh Anne has poured her heart and soul into this music, and the result is a breathtaking piece of art. The only problem with this track is how short it is! It abruptly ends as soon as it kind of gets going. The only downside is how short it is – it needed a bridge and final chorus to really take it there.
