Leeds-based tech-no-wave band, Polevaulter, released a brand new single titled ‘Campaign Trail’ on Friday 13th of September.

The duo-composed band, known for exploring the limits of underground noisemaking, produced ‘Campaign Trail’ in France, describing it as a ‘tour anthem’. Having just performed 15 shows in 5 countries over 3 legs on their tour in France, the Baltics and numerous locations in the UK, Polevaulter offers hypnotic live performances and a unique and captivating display. Their debut album, ‘Hang Wave’, released in January of this year, establishing their strong and distinct sound. The duo’s constant outpouring of creation is yet to stop, marked by their most recent single, ‘Campaign Trail’. With a sound similar to that of pure noise rock balanced with punk, the single is a stand-out with a poignant, repeated lyric:
If you die on tour, you die in real life.’
The ominous tone that is instantly created by the lyrics goes skilfully hand-in-hand with the electronic beat, layered with jarring noises that perfectly create an intimidating yet appealing sound. Filled with blunt admissions and a ‘matter of fact’ tone, this single knows exactly what it wants to say, and executes its messages excellently. Polevaulter’s combination of striking sound and evident commitment to their craft is such a pleasure to both hear and see, and you should visit their Linktree to access tickets for upcoming live shows and their social media.
