Up and coming alt-indie rock band Atlas Rivers have done it again! Following the release of Towards The Sun and The Vanishing, Revolutionary is the new addition to their discography. Revolutionary has a more upbeat tempo than Atlas Rivers‘ previous singles, and this switch up is a great show of their diverse talent!
With highly passionate vocals, fast drumbeats, and lively guitar riffs, Revolutionary is a perfect combination of the ingredients of a hit indie track. The instrumentation in the single really expresses the musicianship of Atlas Rivers, and how they’re a band you need to look out for! Although Revolutionary has a sound quite similar to that of many other growing bands around at the minute, the change in tempo mid way through the track demonstrates Atlas Rivers‘ uniqueness and how they really aren’t afraid to not follow the herd.
For people looking for a new underground track reminiscent of The K’s and The Royston Club, Revolutionary is a must listen to! The single starts off with a slower tempo and calmer lyrics, but the energetic drumming and bassline bring the feeling of anticipation for more to come, and Atlas Rivers didn’t disappoint! Sharp riffs paired with meaningful yet spirited vocals create the backbone to many indie rock tracks, and Revolutionary has both of those in abundance! This new single could open up the talented trio’s music to many more new fans.
With their first single Towards The Sun only being released a few months ago, Atlas Rivers have already gained a following, with nearly 300 followers on Instagram alone, thanks to the handful of gigs they have played across Manchester. The experience of each member of the band is clear through the skilled musicality heard throughout Revolutionary, as well as their two previous singles. I can’t wait to see what the band do next and see where they go in the future, because surely bigger things are just around the corner!
